The two images below are the results of my experimenting with lighting in Poser 5. I'm beginning to get the hang of the concept, but obviously need more practice in this area. I've been successful in applying shadows onto a plain background, but haven't been able to easily apply shadows to a background image. The second image below demonstrates an attempt at applying a shadow, with considerable post Poser work. The manual that comes with Poser isn't very helpful with respect to lighting and casting shadows. At least it wasn't helpful to me in that respect. Frustrating, but as I gradually figure things out, such as working with textures in the materials room, things are slowly falling into place. The first image demonstrates what a vampire figure may look like, in that it does not cast any shadow. The second image is the result of loading the original Poser rendered image into a graphics paint program and with considerable post render work, applying the shadow. Maybe not a perfect shadow, but the figure is not any longer a vampire.
